One Trick was created during a week-long residency in Soren studio, at Academy of Fine Arts Bratislava. The content of my choice was to connect the physical act of painting and juggling.
The painting itself and the movement in the painting is the circus piece . It includes folly, spectacularity, manipulation of attention. You perform in front of the audience in a semi-amateur, humorous way, for fun, but there is a non-fun sweat of the drill behind it. Since concentrating the movements in front of the screen, I try to physically escape for a while and concentrate them behind the curtain of the circus. I try to perform in the artist's mask in the dark of night, colored light and mystify. I separate my head and my body from the supposed ordinary reality and work, and I give the day a different passage of time. I focus on dividing the attention between the balls individually and at the same time on the whole trick and think about the possibility of the same juggling between the images.
